Joe Biden was comforting Meghan McCain about her father’s Brain cancer.
Showing up on “The View” and encouraging a weepy Meghan McCain about her dad John’s battle with brain cancer, previous Vice President Joe Biden demonstrated precisely why he would be an impressive competitor fighting President Trump in 2020 in the event that he runs.
Not at all like Hillary Clinton, whose frosty manner appeared to be the most important part of why many individuals discovered her unpalatable as a competitor (among heap different reasons), Biden, whatever his resume uncovers about his radical point of view, showed warmth that could be a capable magnet for voters.
McCain started the discourse by saying:
“This is the hard part. Bear with me, okay? Couldn’t get through your book, I tried. Your son, Beau, had the same cancer that my father was diagnosed with six months ago. (tearing up) I’m sorry.”
“There’s a lot of hope.”
McCain proceeded with:
“I think about Beau almost every day, and I was told, (tearing up) I’m sorry, that this doesn’t get easier, but that you cultivate the tools to work with this and live with this. I know you and your family have been through tragedy that I couldn’t conceive of; what would you tell people; it’s not about me; it’s about everyone.”
“No, no, no, no, no. It is about everyone. One of the things that gave Beau courage, my word was John. Your dad, you may remember, when you were a little kid took care of my Beau. Your dad … became friends with my Beau. And Beau talked about your dad’s courage, not about his illness, but about his courage.”
At the end of the show, long after finishing the discussion about McCain’s disease. Joe Biden has stated:
“I could be good a candidate for the 2020 presidential election, everything depends of my health. I’m sick of seeing Trump on the TV, I still can’t accept that he is our president. He makes me feel embarrassed.”
