The dress that Melania Trump wore at the White House on Monday caught everyone’s attention.
The first lady sported a saffron yellow floral, floor-length dress, which was much more vibrant and eye-catching than her usual outfits. The Emilio Pucci design, which retails for over $2,000, had everyone talking, including Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser.
“I like your dress,” Kushner was overheard saying to Melania in the Rose Garden on the South side of the White House Monday afternoon.
The first lady joined Donald Trump in welcoming Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the White House earlier in the afternoon and also accompanied them during a meeting in the Oval Office, although Modi’s wife did not come to the White House.
The president and prime minister engaged in multiple discussions throughout the day and held a joint press conference Monday afternoon in the Rose Garden.
During Trump’s address he spoke of the United States revived relationship with the world’s largest democratic nation and assured Prime Minister Modi that he has “a true friend” in the White House.
